McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP Lawyers instruct UK solicitors to challenge REACH - "Polymer Rule" and "Preparations Rule" - before UK Court.
On behalf of four chemical companies, McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP have instructed Jeremy Lederman of Cumberland Ellis LLP to bring proceedings before the English Courts in connection with the "REACH" Regulation. The action was filed in London against the UK Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs ('DEFRA') on Friday 25 May 2007.

But the number who feel 'overwhelmed' doubles!
Voting taken before and after "REACH - how it will affect your business" organised by The Health & Safety Executive, the REACH UK Competent Authority, showed that attendees had increased their knowledge. But less than one in ten still think they 'know a lot' about REACH and the number who feel 'Overwhelmed' has doubled.

Simon Hill, the Executive Director of Business for Yorkshire Forward, visited ETCIC (Environmental Technologies Centre of Industrial Collaboration) at the University of Hull to meet some of the first delegates on its pioneering Postgraduate Course in REACH Management.

Has the rest of the world forgotten about it?
It's not so long ago that the whole world seemed to be talking about REACH but they appear to have moved on and left us holding the baby!
The number of articles published each month from January to March 2007 averaged 45. Between April and June it increased to 51. July to September we saw a summer of discontent with articles averaging 38 per month, many of them hostile to REACH.
But in October there have only been 15. So what are they about and is this a sign that REACH's impact is being forgotten?
