| REACH Module 4 - Legal Issues, Authorisation and Business Preparation |
|
This module places emphasis on the legal and commercial aspects of using data from external sources, sharing data amongst parties affected by the REACH regulations, and on the weighty requirements for authorisation. Using a series of lectures and workshops, students will be taught what the legal position is on data ownership, understand confidentiality issues relating to use of that data, and how the authorisation element will work and the implications this may have for businesses affected. Means by which information can be shared between parties (SIEFS) and issues related to negotiating with suppliers, competitors and regulators are also examined. The final parts of the module review the entire REACH process, the dossier submission and the business risk assessments which REACH will necessitate within any company.
